When developing new nanoparticles for bio-applications, it is important to fully characterize the nanoparticle's behavior in biological systems. The most common techniques employed for mapping nanoparticles inside cells include transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM). These techniques entail passing an electron beam through a thin specimen. STEM or TEM imaging is often used for the detection of nanoparticles inside cellular organelles. However, lengthy sample preparation is required (i.e., fixation, dehydration, drying, resin embedding, and cutting). In the present work, a new matrix (FTO glass) for biological samples was used and characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM) to generate images comparable to those obtained by TEM. Using FE-SEM, nanoparticle images were acquired inside endo/lysosomes without disruption of the cellular shape. Furthermore, the initial steps of nanoparticle incorporation into the cells were captured. In addition, the conductive FTO glass endowed the sample with high stability under the required accelerating voltage. Owing to these features of the sample, further analyses could be performed (material contrast and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)), which confirmed the presence of nanoparticles inside the cells. The results showed that FE-SEM can enable detailed characterization of nanoparticles in endosomes without the need for contrast staining or metal coating of the sample. Images showing the intracellular distribution of nanoparticles together with cellular morphology can give important information on the biocompatibility and demonstrate the potential of nanoparticle utilization in medicine.  相似文献

就作者自行研制的Er3 + Yb3 + 共掺磷酸盐玻璃 (LGS L) ,用重叠积分方法进行放大器设计。在Er3 + 、Yb3 + 掺杂浓度分别为 1.5 1× 10 2 6ions/m3 、19.1× 10 2 6ions/m3 的情况下可获得 2 .6dB/cm的增益 ;Er3 + 掺杂浓度为2× 10 2 6ions/m3 时 ,在 4cm的器件上可获得超过 15dB的增益。此外 ,讨论了信号光和抽运光光场强度的横向分布与Er3 + 、Yb3 + 横向掺杂浓度分布之间的重叠对放大器增益的影响 ,放大器的最佳长度 ,以及在 980nm抽运下 ,Yb3 + 、Er3 + 掺杂浓度比对放大器增益的影响。  相似文献

在自行研制的Er3 ,Yb3 共掺磷酸盐玻璃基质上用离子交换方法制作出沟导光波导放大器。在110mW的抽运功率下(抽运光波长为980nm),在1.8cm长的器件上获得了3.8dB的小信号(信号光波长为1.55μm)增益,单位长度上的增益为2.1dB/cm。  相似文献

Percolation clusters with varying occupation probability were constructed. Viscous fingering (VF) in the percolation cluster, based on the assumption that throat radii are Rayleigh distributed, is investigated by means of a successive over-relaxation technique. The fractal dimension and the sweep efficiency of VF in the percolation cluster when surface tension is considered are larger than when surface tension is neglected. The fractal dimension of VF will increase as the percolation probability increases or the viscous ratio decreases. VF's fractal dimension of porous media in the limit viscous ratio → ∞ is found to be identical with the DLA. The topology and the geometry of the porous medium have a strong effect on the displacement processes and the structure of the VF.  相似文献

A series of alkali treated ZSM-5 samples were prepared and the effects of the alkali treatment conditions on the n-hexane isomerization performance of Pt/ZSM-5 were investigated. The characterization by XRD, N2-adsorption, XRF, NH3-TPD, Py-IR and NMR revealed that alkali treatment conditions had the effects on the crystallinity, textural property, Si/Al ratio and acidity of ZSM-5. Mild alkali treatment led to the reduction of the strong acid sites and did not distinctly change the pore structure, whereas severe alkali treatment resulted in the creation of the stronger acid sites and new mesopores. The correlation of the acidity and pore structure and isomerization behavior was established. It was proposed that the conversion of n-hexane was dependent on the amount of strong acid sites and irrelevant to the properties of acid sites and the pore structure. However, the selectivity for iso-hexanes was irrelevant to both the acidity and pore structure. The relative amount of dimethylbutanes (DMB) and methylpentanes (MP) in isomers was related not only to the pore structure, but to the acidity of ZSM-5. The suitable alkali treatment condition facilitated the high yield of isomers and the formation of more DMB.  相似文献

Formaldehyde (HCHO) is one kind of common indoor toxic pollutant, the catalytic oxidation degradation of formaldehyde at room temperature is desired. In this work, a new single atomic catalyst (SAC), Al doped graphene, for the catalytic oxidation of HCHO molecules was proposed through density function theory (DFT) calculations. It is found that Al atoms can be adsorbed on graphene stably without aggression. Then HCHO can be effectively oxidized into CO2 and H2O in the presence of O2 molecules on Al doped graphene with a low energy barrier of 0.82 eV and releasing energy of 2.29 eV with the pathway of HCHO → HCOOH → CO → CO2. The oxidation reaction can happen promptly with reaction time τ = 56.9 s at the speed control step at room temperature. Therefore, this work proposed a high-performance catalyst Al-doped graphene without any noble metal for HCHO oxidation at ambient temperature, and corresponding oxidation pathway and mechanism are also deeply understood.  相似文献

Based on coinjection and/or comparison with synthesized standards, a novel C_(18-23) tricy-clic terpane series with a base peak at m/z 123 on their mass spectra have been detected andconclusively identified from the basal sandstone in the Upper Proterozoic Xiamaling For-mation, eastern Yanshan region, North China, and their molecular structure has been deter-mined as 13α(n- alkyl)- tricyclic terpanes.
